"Sofia Film Fest for Students" provides free access of students to the excellence of European and national cinema. The lectures led by Bulgarian filmmakers aim to provoke desire in students for possible development in cinematography and open their horizons to the cinema art.
„Sofia Film Fest for Students", launched in autumn 2009, preceded Varna edition of the Festival one year. The main objective of "Sofia Film Festival for students" is to provide free access of students to the excellence of European and national cinema. Free admission allows equal access for all adolescents, regardless of social status, and this is a great opportunity to stimulate young people's eternal desire for "commensurability" with the stars of the global horizon, combined with imperceptibly and inevitably build a taste for good cinema. The screenings of "Sofia Film Festival for students" accompanied by a lecture module and discussions led by Bulgarian filmmakers and professionals in the field of cinematography aim to nurture a taste for quality independent cinema in young people. The presentation of both classic and contemporary films suitable for the age audience is a traditional pedagogical approach in all European countries and aims to encourage young people to a career in quality cinematography.
The purpose of "Sofia Film Fest for students - Varna" is to stimulate the construction of a taste for good cinema among young people and to encourage their development career began in cinematography.
