Goal: The project „Together we create in the sea capital” aims at solving one of the main problems in society - the social integration of disadvantaged young people. Using the methods of applied art and the main activities we strive to popularize creativity for personal expression and the chance to develop social contacts, build spiritual values, skills and self-esteem and to popularize the title „Varna - European Youth Capital 2017”.
Beneficiaries: Members of the association, direct participants in the project in different age ranges (15 to 35 years) and volunteers.
Main activities: In the initial stage, we form a team to discuss the overall topic of the project and the distribution of tasks, program of activities, working methods and preparation for the production of promotional materials. At a later stage, we are preparing for the making of souvenirs, after which we start our main activity on the project - create these souvenirs. As another activity on the project, we have to promote the activities by creating a design of advertising materials. A final stage in our work will be the presentation of the final results and the reporting of the project activities.
The parties responsible for implementing the activities: Members of the association and direct participants of the project.
The project will work on the problem of the social integration of disadvantaged young people in society. Through the techniques of applied art, it is aimed at the young people to promote the problem and the ways of its solution, building a spiritual connection between them both as a collective and outside it.
By attracting public opinion, we will prove that art as a powerful and always reaching the souls of people, it is effective way to overcome the „we” barrier. Art lessons for people with disabilities are recognized worldwide as a therapeutic and flawless method of coping with social exclusion and are used as a tool for the social inclusion of these target groups. The project offers a model of integration activity for young people with different disabilities, with applied arts bringing together different sides.
Performing art therapy together with an art therapist is aimed at enriching the spirituality of young people with disabilities. The souvenirs created by us, as a result of the prominent art, will be exhibited and thematically will be included in the theatrical activity of the association, in the theatre plays we make, in order to strengthen its impact on the society.
Through these activities we will attract our followers, partners and volunteers. We will prevent exclusion of the specific target group of people with disabilities in society by providing equal access to all participants in the project. By realizing the project, we will have a positive impact on the society in Varna.
The main target group of the project is over 25 disadvantaged young people who can benefit from the therapeutic and social integration effect of applied art.
Through art as a means of integration and personal growth we will popularize the activities of the project in front of the Varna community. We will enable participants to create, developed and present the basic idea through the prism of their consciousness.
