From Varna to Barcelona, with love

The project “From Varna to Barcelona, with Love” is about presenting the results of two of the projects, supported by Varna – European Youth Capital and Municipality of Varna – “Get invlolved, fall in love with Varna” and “In love with Varna”, on one of the most important events for innovations in urban development – The Smart City Expo World Congress, which will be held on 14-16 November in Barcelona, Spain (http://www.smartcityexpo.com/bg/). The event is a leading summit for people to meet the most inspiring and advanced laboratories for exploring the future of the cities. Since its first edition in 2011, it has succeeded in becoming a referential global meeting point for public administrations, companies, social entrepreneurs, startups, research centers and citizens' initiatives that come together to show, learn, share, network and gather inspiration to support the development of the cities. The congress will be great opportunity for the social innovation of the projects, where the gamification methods is used to involve citizens in the process of generation of ideas for development of the urban spaces, to meet its collaborators and companies which can be important part of the future development of the project and its sustainability. Moreover, we plan game events which can increase the number of “involved” in the project.

The project’s goals are: - Presentation of two projects, supported by Varna – European Youth Capital and Municipality of Varna. - Promotion of the games, created in these projects, as an opportunity for generation of new ideas - Focus on shared responsibility for urban spaces and using games as think tank method - Increasing the number of involved in the project abroad - Promotion of the city of Varna and youth activity in it - Contacts with potential partners all over the world as a way for ensuring the sustainability of the project - Representation of Varna – European Youth Capital 2017 on leading international forum
